This is the kind of incarnation the likes of which I imagine gods to take. Not the type of god imagined into existence by men, but the kind that imagines men into existence.
You wouldn't find this thing in a pantheon composed of basically-human (in appearance) gods like those seen in the mythologies of the ancient Greeks or Norse. I mean sure, I see a little sphinxness but that's not the point - more than anything, I see attitude and mysticism. Perhaps in the form of a poet I'm drawing more from it than was intended, but if I may be so bold, I see this as a being whose domain of influence is nothing short of global.
